Steve Kot

Mr. Kot is a graduate student in the Clinical Mental Health Counseling program at Oakland University with a focus on Family and Couples Counseling. In addition to Depression, Anxiety, Men's issues, Stress and Anger, Life transitions, and School and Career Counseling, he also has a personal interest in helping individuals and families experiencing infertility, child loss, and life changes such as adoption and divorce. His professional foundation is based on group and individual experience from Person-Centered, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and Gestalt perspectives. Mr. Kot has passed the National Counselor Exam and has received specialized training in Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT) for families. He is committed to creating person-centered spaces where one can feel heard and understood.
